PS3 or Xbox 360?

I was just wondering what would you prefer, Playsation 3 or Xbox 360?

If there is another console besides PC that you would say is better, name it.

In my opinion, I think 360 is better.

I havent really played PS3 that much yet... so ill also go with 360 only cuz i like playing halo.

PS3. Better hardware, higher quality and sturdier console build, future exclusives look to be better than 360's (Heavy Rain, Demon's Souls God of War III, MAG, Final Fantasy 13 Versus, The Last Guardian, etc), etc. Plus multiplayer is free.

Yeah, 360 has Halo, whatever. I don't really care for console fps since they're just simply better on PC. it's about RPGs, action games and fighters, and Xbox's exclusives here just don't match PS3's.

Have both. Generally it boils down to your personal preference, but here're some points:

• If you like online play, buy the console that your friends have. People seem to argue that the 360 has better online play however.
  
• If you like FPS, generally the 360 is considered to cater more to those games, though the PS3 has nice exclusives like Killzone 2 and both Resistance games.
  
• If you thought the DualShock for the PS2 was the epitome of controller design, you'll probably prefer the PS3.
  
• If you worry about console longevity in terms of hardware reliability, buy the PS3. Though MS has done a lot to improve the 360's reliability, it is still markedly worse than the PS3.
  
• If you're looking for a media center hub, both can function as one (you can stream videos from your computer to your 360 with either Windows Media Center Edition or TVersity for both PS3/360). PS3 is the HD console of choice, as its format, Blu-Ray, won out the HD media format wars against HD-DVD (availabe on the 360 via an add-on)
  
• Price wise, you really can't beat the 360 in terms of gaming value for buck (cheaper console). Just realize that a bare-bones 360 comes with less stuff than a bare-bones PS3 (some argue that it's stuff you don't need, but I'll list them in case you do figure it'll be something you require: HDD, wireless capabilities, HD-DVD drive only available as add-on meaning added cost)
  
• PS3 HDD is upgradeable (swap out laptop HDDs), where as the 360, though upgradeable via a hack, limits you to the 3 HDD sizes they have available (20, 60 and 120GB)
  
• You can mod a 360. You can't mod a PS3.
  

There's probably more points but I can't think of them. Best way to decide, if budget is not an issue, is to get a list of all the games available on either console, and check off which ones you really want to play. Whichever console has more tallies, you buy. Personally, I prefer the PS3.

PS3 is also multiregion, so imports work without having to mod (which, as egg said, is impossible right now on ps3). This is especially great for PS3 since the rise of Chinese / Hong Kong editions of Japan-only games that are English bilingual.

Having said that, the 360 has been getting most of the JRPG love until recently. I do like that Tales of Vesperia is coming to PS3, and 360 doesn't have Valkyria Chronicles, which is probably my favourite game on the console.

y because yeah you got to pay to play online but theres like 23813890128938190 people online while on ps3 i might be playing online and run into the same people i played with a hour before so its not as fun causs you meet the same people and if you hate them it blows
